Transforming communities by pursuing racial reconciliation through a gospel lens.

“Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. Here, there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all.” - Galatians 3

Christ Over Culture

A Gospel Journey to Racial Redemption

“Dan Crain is one of the most authentic and humble people I know, and that authenticity radiates through every page of this book. With vulnerability and grace, he shares his personal journey of engaging the complex realities of race, ethnicity, and reconciliation. Dan’s unwavering faith in Jesus—His life, teachings, and reconciling power—is the foundation that sustains and shapes this work. He doesn’t approach these difficult topics as an expert, but as a lifelong learner—open to the wisdom of other cultures and voices, including those within the Asian American Christian Church.”

Serving With Dignity

Hi. I’m Dan.

I

’ve been in Atlanta since 2011, joining God in his work through his Son, Jesus, as He reconciles all things back to Himself through the power of the Holy Spirit. I’ve lived in Historic South Atlanta for ten years. The neighborhood has shaped me profoundly as I’ve sought to equip and connect the body of Christ in this city and around the nation. This website is meant to share what I’ve learned from my journey into reconciliation since seminary in 2006.

Thanks for engaging!

  • “What God is doing through you is changing the trajectory of reconciliation in America today. Your voice is powerful and God is using you in huge ways. Thank you for standing up. You are a kingdom shaker!”

    Eilise Griffith, Impact 360: Chick-Fil-A

  • “The Lord used Dan and Dignity Serves to help turn our ship around. Dignity Serves has been one of the few tools in the massive Christian toolbox that actually is useful and life transforming. To have him and Dignity Serves in our back yard is wonderful. I would highly recommend Dan to come to your church. You will not regret it.”

Rob Irvine, Outside the Walls Pastor, Cumberland Community Church

  • “The topics of poverty, race, justice, dignified interdependence and a holistic gospel of Jesus Christ can be very challenging and difficult, but Dan’s delivery is unique because of his credibility, authenticity and humility. He speaks from life experience, having worked these concepts out in his own heart and ministry, which allows him to deliver this rich content in a non-threatening, but compelling way.”

James Gadsby, Chief Operating Officer, Desire Street Ministries

  • "We had a whole crew come today. We're grateful for Dan for genuinely, lovingly and authentically sharing his journey and inviting us to take a peak at ourselves in a deeper way.”
